Hi Folks
I need to remove the sump plug from my 2000ie Coupe.
I thought it was supposed to be a 12mm Hex fitting  but it doesn't seem to be.
And I can in at it to have a look.
Does this need a speccial torx tool or something ?
Thanks in Advance.

Hi.
I think it is a 12mm Allen key that you need.

If that doesn't work, then you may not have a standard sump plug, or the sump plug may have become damaged due to overtightening in the past ?

You really need to get the vehicle on a ramp so that you can safely view it.

If the sump plug is b***ered, you might need to take the car to a garage who will weld on a connection that can be used to loosen the plug. They are used to doing this sort of thing....

Good luck.

John
