Title: Has anyone gone to 15 inch wheels? Post by: vancouver on February 02, 2020, 02:49:34 AM Looking for opinions based on personal experience.
Has anyone gone to 15 inch wheels? if you did what size wheels are you using. Was it a good idea/ why did you do it? I 'm lowered by at least 2 inches. Thanks for your advise Jonathan Title: Re: Has anyone gone to 15 inch wheels? Post by: WestonE on February 02, 2020, 10:57:52 AM I went to 15 inch wheels on my previous Beta Spyder and have Azev A 7x15 waiting to go on my Beta Spyder currently being painted. On the Spyder 195 is as wide as you can go without rolling the rear arch. Many people have fitted Integrale 7x15 or Thema 7.15 wheels. Personally I think the cars look better on them and handling is improved. Be aware if you do not have power steering bigger tyres means stronger arms when parking. With power steering the sometimes too light steering dis appears and you can add 1.5 degrees negative camber at the front for sharper turn in.

Eric Just curious Eric have you had 205 tyres on a coupé? At some time in the distant future I'll have to make a decision for my VX and 205/50 is a better selection than 195/55 which are I believe the nearest rolling radius Title: Re: Has anyone gone to 15 inch wheels? Post by: mangocrazy on February 02, 2020, 03:15:51 PM I have a set of Thema 16v Turbo wheels waiting to go on my Spider (6J x 15"), but haven't fitted them yet so can't comment on road manners or parking difficulty. I went for 15" wheels to accommodate larger front discs and 4-piston calipers. This post has more detail and photos:

Not that I can clearly remember although the rear arches on Coupes do not have the huge inner lip you see on Spyders. Eric Title: Re: Has anyone gone to 15 inch wheels? Eric I'll probably risk it but need the engine back in first! And no time at the moment |
