Title: Ignition switch question
Post by: droptop on March 28, 2018, 06:55:24 PM
Does anyone know if the Montecarlo ignition switch will physically fit on a Beta spyder steering column?
I'm not concerned about the number of wires/terminals or size of connector block, just a quick resolution to a second failed switch on this car.
First one failed last year with an electrical problem and the p used replacement failed mechanically.
Thsnks

I don't think so Frank, have a look at beilstein.com, they have an ignition switch listed which they describe as suitable for all versions of beta except beta montecarlo, I think the Monte uses the same switch as the Fiat X1/9 if my memory serves me right, I have a used ignition switch that I purchased a while back ( for the Monte ) the keys in particular look very X1/9 ish !!!! But if you want to compare it is there.

Thanks but I bit the bullet and bought a new one off Mark last night.
Hopefully it'll be third time lucky.
The recently decease one was off a Fiat of some sort and needed a bit of rewiring at the multi plug.
