Hi all,
I have been emailing Tore in Norway, a fellow Beta enthusiast, and I have been invited to go over next summer (2011).
Would anyone like to join me? Tore has suggested doing a run and some of Norway's road and stretching the cars legs as they should be.
Details will be announced as we sort them. Idea is to get to Noway friday night and leave Monday morning.
Ill be going, as its been a while since i went away on a driving trip .

Could combine it with a Gamma meeting,
take a boat to Esberg and then drive up.
There are a couple of Gamma Guys in Norway and they've
travelled to meetings in Turin and Stuttgart to join in.

Hello all Beta fans out there.

As Mark mentioned we have talked about a round trip next summer along the coast of Norway, maybe combine this with something we call the "Italian Day" (Italiens Dag) in Norwegian...  Cheesy

The Gamma boyz in Norway are allmost the same as the Beta guyz. Think it's 4 x running Gamma Coupes here, maybe a Saloon (only for parts)

Re. Beta I think we have (on the road) 3 x VX Coupe, 4 or 5 Coupes (1600, 1800 and 2000), 4 or 5 HPEs, couple of Saloons, a couple of Spiders, one Trevi and some Montes..... So you see it's not a lot.

I agree we could need 4 days, depends of course what you want. This is something we can talk about in winter time...

I am looking forward seeing as many as possible for this Beta / Gamma event

I know the Norwegian Trevi owner is also a Gamma owner  Wink  We almost met this year when I was in Norway for the Eurovision Song Contest  Smiley  but he had to be on a Lancia tour so we didn't  Embarrassed  He'll have the same problem as me not knowing which car to use. The speed and comfort of the Gamma or the reliability, comfort and sophistication of the Trevi  Huh?  Difficult choice...  Undecided  Grin

We are some "old" Lancia guys here.... Me and some enthusiasts started Lancisti Norvegesi in 1991 together with a Lancia work shop. Some of these people will join....

The Gamma Coupe guy mentioned here also has a spider VX, coupe S1, Trevi VX and a lot more.....
Another friend has a Gamma Coupe, Spider, HPE Flavia Coupe....

Maybe I will have to get my brother to drive my white VX

and my daughter to take the -75 Coupe...

I will take my red VX.....  Grin (if I have finished...) with new Spax...

MattNoVAT....are you in Oslo or close? meeting some Lancia people...?

Yeh might be interested in this too, depending on the state of my wallet and the situation with the car at the time.

Really good to see interest.
I have roughly costed ferries to Olso Via Denmark, about 1000 pounds maybe someone could double check for me.
I was also thinking maybe drive there cross country and collect more Betas on the way from France, Holland, Germany and Denmark. This way is about 1240 miles via Dover/calais ferry and Copenhagon/Oslo ferry   so if my maths is right working on 25MPG and 5 pound per gallon about 500 quid in fuel.

Ferry Harwich to Esbjerg about £460 return (car + 2)
then drive Esbjerg to Oslo about 800 mls
or
Ferry Harwich to Esbjerg about £460 return ( car + 2)
then drive Esbjerg to Copenhagen 190 miles
then Ferry Copenhagen to Oslo about £300 return (car + 2)

DFDS Seaways used to run a ferry route from Newcastle direct to Norway but they stopped in 2008 due to it being uneconomic. I don't think there are any direct ferries from the UK to Norway these days.

August is good for me and I'm still up for this if it happens  Cheesy
