Hi all, it's been a very long time since i have been here, i joined the Beta Boyz forum years ago not long after my coupe was retired from the road for a restoration, unfortunatly life got in the way and it's been off the road for 10yrs now. Well enough is enough and i have made up my mind that right time or not(when is it ever the right time) it's getting revived i miss it to much.
Kermette(my coupe) is a 1976 1800, she is Giallo maja which is a yellow green colour(hence Kermette, can't be Kermit cause she's a girl). My parents bought a Beta brand new when i was a baby and have photo's of me in nappys helping dad work on the car so from a very early age i have been a fan, mum taught me how to throw a car into corners in their Beta. So Lancia's are in the blood, My coupe is my first car and will never be sold!!!!!. We started our relationship in 1995 and over the next 5yrs covered nearly 180,000k's up and down the east coast of Australia, and she never let me down. When the head gaskit decided to blow i thought at the time it would be better to pull her off the road and strip and rebuild her, not the best idea i have ever had cause she's still there and i have never seemed to be able to find time, well that stops now.
Look forward to getting to know you guys.

Cheers

Welcome,

Procrastination is a feature of classic car ownership if you're anything like me you get as much pleasure from tinkering with them as from driving them (although it would be nice once in a while ! )

Photos please !

Stuart

I see you got Red Dwarf in Oz as well as Betas...

Welcome John Smiley
As Stuart says I also find half the fun is working on the car. Put some pics together for the members cars section, 3 of us now, and counting Cheesy
