Does anyone coming to this event have a wheel bearing retaining ring removal tool that I can borrow for a couple of weeks ?
The one I had on order has disappeared in the USPS....
Stuart
Stuart - Front or rear lock ring? - I have spare new ones left over from the Hawk builds (99% sure anyway) Worst case you can chisel out the old ones with a drift or big blunt flat blade screwdriver and replace with new. Could swap for a Beta side mirror rubber seal... the thin triangular one with one big hole and one small hole.

Bearing locking rings on a Beta should be the same front and rear.

Not the locking rings themselves but the special socket to remove them without the chisel and hammer method - they're a finite resource after all !
I only have the oval S1 mirror gaskets - sorry.

There are definately two sizes, theres not a huge difference but I had about 40 in total and sold half to Gerry Hawkridge for use on the Hawk kits. They had two different part numbers (Lancia P/N's) and only when put together could you see the difference.

Aha, didn't realise that, I thought that as the bearings were the same the locking rings would be as well.
You never stop learning.

Steve,
I messed about with them , mot was a tight thing on emissions and i was getting hesitation between half acceleration and full throttle.
Changed the air filters which solved that part but noticed I wasnt getting 90 degrees butterflies on full throttle. Tried to rectify that with the throttle cable adjustment and carb balancing screw and idle screws...messed it up.
Fixed it yesterday after reading the Dellorto book......running very smooth and nice acceleration.
Where you staying in Weybridge?

Had a good day to, spent most my time taking pictures (I was in the mood): http://www.flickr.com/photos/lanciamad/sets/72157623845710379/ Car drove spot on all the way there and back just the throttle linkage or pedal needs some freeing up.

Ya I know I didn't see or speak to many people yesterday. I'm not the type that hangs around their car all day (not that there's anything wrong with that), and I can never remember all the stuff i've done to the car anyway, thank god for the blog. I thought the day would drag on a bit, but by the time i'd looked round all the cars taking pics. as I went, watched the hill twice, the day was gone and I didn't even go in any of the museum nor look at any of the stalls. Somehow I didn't get a chance to say hi to Matt either, towards the end of the day as I got back to the Lancia's later on I made a point of having a chat and he'd gone. Did have a brief chat with someone towards the end of the day that has an IE HPE, and for some reason had a strong interest in my interior, taking many pics. Not sure why, as my interior consists of the dashboard and that's it. He did ask me how much weight i've lost out of it, so maybe i've got some competition

Absolutely top day at Brooklands, weather held out and helped no end towards the overall enjoyment. I did a bit of everything watched the Hill Climb, hung about the Lancias & their owners shooting the breeze which was great. Handed over a few parts to those in need of particular items, spoke to the Alfa 75 guys about the wheels I have to sell (that were once going to go on my current Hawk build), found out that I should have bought a 308 GTS exhaust not a 328 GTB exhaust for my current Hawk build and other uses for the Fiat Croma 2000 cylinder head and cams I have sat in the garage loft (8v Integrale / Thema ) Thanks to Steve I got to measure the PCD off Delta Turbo for the adjustable top mounts I have to flog, so all in all I got a lot out of it. Plus I finally got to see the Ferrari P4 racer that my friend Graham makes parts for (the green one in main courtyard in front of the Brooklands Cafe). Was great to see and catch up with some old friends too! Sorry I missed a few folks, Marcus in particular! I wanted to have a shufty at your car but your like me your off and away appreciating the other cars. My fantasy shopping list went off the scale Pictures taken on the day, no Lancias as I wanted to spend the time looking at other marques: http://www.flickr.com/photos/49229034@N02/Still, I'm more than likely going to LMC Goodwood track day (just as an observer - unless anyone wants a passenger!)

Love the photos guys. I had a great time and got to chat to several betaboyz and LMC members although I still missed a lot of people. Hard to pick my favourite non-Lancia. Might just be the little red Fiat 1200 convertible.

Thought that the blue Biturbo was a skirted up Beta at first! I'm always surprised how alike they look at first glance.
