Sunday June 6th
Auto Italia Stanford Hall

STANFORD HALL
Lutterworth
Leicestershire
LE17 6DH

copied from Auto Italia web site:

Great cars, great location

Great cars in a great location. The UK’s finest Italian cars will once again be gathering at this stately home venue. Centrally located and with easy motorway access, Stanford Hall provides a lovely backdrop flanked by acres of well trimmed grass. As usual the special lawned area in front of the Hall has been set aside for the concours display that will once again feature the National Fiat and Abarth Concours, Lancias and other selected special cars. A substantial area has also been set aside to celebrate Alfa Romeo’s 100th anniversary. Visitors can expect see a strong turnout of Maseratis supported by Ferrari and Lamborghini supercars.

Entry is £10 for adults, only £2 for children. It's a pay-on-the-day event, no advance booking is required

To register your pre-2000 Italian car for the Fiat and Abarth, Lancia or general concours please submit your application to Phil Ward at phil.ward@chpltd.com

I'll be there in the 406  - They've allowed the 406 Coupe OC some spaces to exhibit too - it seems Phil Ward is a fan of them !

PS Don't forget the liners !

Blimey £10 per person entry an even bigger rip than previous years! If you take out all the displays paid for by owners shelling out for their own fuel and owners clubs supporting that doesn't leave a lot that can be called 'value for money' does it? Anyway I'm still going to be there but Lancia-less as usual

;-)

At least the 406 Coupe was built in Italy - which is more than can be said for some Fiats that will be there!

Chaps/ Boyz or whatever

I will be there in a black Montecarlo which I know is not really a Beta more of an overgrown X19, but the FI VX Spider is long term work in progress.

Nah, if he wanted fish he'd go to Sainsburys like the rest of us.

The motives of fishermen are very obscure, I'd always thought fish were an entirley peripheral consideration.

Back on topic:

I just found out that Phil Ward has put the 406s in the concourse area between prototyes and supercars, I hope mine doesn't come over all self concious Smiley

Had a good day, nice to catch up with some people and put a few more names to faces.
The occasional shower didn't put a dampner on the day, the £50 it cost in fuel and entry did a bit though; one I might miss out next year.
For those that don't know, I took my hf turbo along and it didn't dis-appoint, didn't miss a beat there and back, had a bit more fun on the way home on damp roundabouts etc... the grip is excellent. When the turbo kicks in second going round roundabouts, there's a mixture of grip, wheel spin, torque steer and a bit of lift-off oversteer if you fancy it, great fun.
Back to putting the HPE back together this week, next saturday it might actually be used! Grin
