Lancia always the media's favourite vote for the brand to disappear soldiers on even out selling Alfa and SAAB goes down the tubes who'd have thought it a couple of years ago?

edit ....maybe not just seen there might be a last minute reprieve let's hope so all slightly eccentric brands deserve to live

I'm still waiting to hear why Konnigseg pulled out at the very last minute? ( Thought that was a bit of a strange departure from their normal hyper-car production)

Anyone know why that deal went down the pan?

Russian bank financing and GM not wanting their intellectual property to end up being wholly copied as a Russian auto. Gaz branded Blazers & Hummers and a Corvette with a Lada badge on it. Didn't want their reputation for quality tarnished that way, although at this point I'm not positive it might be an improvement.
Basically same reason the Magna deal for Opel/Vauxhall fell through from what I hear.
