rear suspension spring metal pad

Between the rear springs on my late coupe and the rubber seat is a pressed metal "support" to the spring. Part number 82286769

From the photo one of these has rotted.

So do I need to be worried as I will be putting PU (Betaboyz) spring seats in??

or where can I get a replacement metal support?

I've got some of those on order with Mark at BetaBoyz, perhaps another order might prompt him to make a few sets? I don't think that they are critical and I hadn't spotted that PU spring pads were available. I have a variety of rubber ones to hand to clean up and reuse the best of them but I suspect none of them are going to be great Tim!

My understanding is Mark has a tool for these which is an improvement on the original tool made by Matt many years ago.

The PU seats look great and tough.

I replaced the rear shocks a year ago on my HPE VX and cannot remember these steel pads. And they are not listed (better check) on the front spring assembly where more weight is....

On the rear these corrode away to virtually a layer of rust stain, I suspect a lot of Betas have these missing.
I bought a new one from cavalitto but it was some years ago now.

I see these come up occasionally for Fiats  - I wonder if they're the same diameter?
