Hi Andrew and all,
Again thanks for the help and advice. Thought I would update you,  (slight pause for a holiday). Checked ass much as I could and discovered that the connectors or terminals in the control unit (under the dash passenger side) were corroded so cleaned them up and she fired up. Have taken her for a couple of runs and all seems well. However in the process I seem to have lost indicators (though hazards work) and wipers - and the handbrake light is always on.

So I am guessing I need to re check the fuses and the control unit. This will help with my voyage of discovery and hopefully add to my limited skill base. I have made a note of the issues re fuel tank and supply etc and am moving towards a bit of a plan to "service" things as generally it is in good health (as it was given a good going over last year by Deltaworks.

Again thanks

Richard

Hazards but no indicator could be the block connector under steering column.
