Hi all.
I have discovered a push in bulb under the dash and what appear to be spare connectors coming off the loom on the passenger side of my 81 Spyder.
Can anyone throw some light on them?
Pun intended  Wink
I am guessing maybe the bulb illuminates the socket for the rechargeable torch and at least one of the connectors will power that socket?
Others might be for electric window which it didn't have?
If anyone can point me to a series 2 wiring diagram I would appreciate that as Haynes is series 1 only I think.

Cheers
C

I think that bulb plugs into the aluminium tube you can see in the top right of your photographs. I think it provides a couple of fibre optical cables at the other end but the ones on my car were cut so I don't know what they're supposed to light up!

Hi Clifford

Starter for 10 which may help a little, here is the wiring diagram from US 1981 car (Coupe?).

With an earth wire added to the empty terminal that goes into the aluminum tube lighting the fibre optics that provide light above the switches on S2 cars. Late cars have extra wiring in the loom that feeds in switch light bulbs.
