Different windscreen style/sizes and tints

Hi All

Just about to order a new screen for the HPE, which is pretty simple as the same as for the Spyder I already bought, but I noticed they have more than two styles as well as endless tint options, anyone know why before I ask? The style/size is the number e.g. 4716, the rest is the tint. So for the normal bonded windscreen it is 4716, I want clear with green tint, so total part is 4716ACLGN

Hi Peter,

I'm no help unfortunately, but also looking for advise on this. I have a chip/crack in the "A" area so am prepared that I may need to get a new screen for mot/need to replace in near future. My car is a HPE IE, and believe are fitted differently to older cars? Any idea's what correct screen would be?

I asked a windscreen company that didn't even get back to me with a reply/quote for a new screen, but looks like they are still available, do you know rough costs?

As I mentioned I thought there were only 2 styles, the original bonded type and the later removable/reusable rubber gasket type. It should be pretty simple to check which you have?

Also contact Pilkington Classics direct they are very helpful in my experience. I would be wary of local glass company getting it correct, especially as these are special order only normally.

Looking at my recent invoice expect 10% up on those prices and there is vat to add to the price. All in looks like around £480 for my screen now.

Reading this with interest as I will need a new screen at some point as it is beginning to delaminate.
Presumably all those will fit a Spyder other than those noted as Trevi?

Correction on prices. I queried it and was priced in error, so now priced as per list above, but given prediction on increases, no idea how long they will keep these prices.

Chris, if you have a bonded in type windscreen, then the 4716A is the one you will need. You can easily check the size with a tape measure. Measure top to bottom at the centre and at the widest point side to side to get the dimensions. Not so easy with the surround installed, but possible.

Dimension on 4716 is 1283 x 681
