When they built my car it appears that a piece or two didn't
fit properly, and they had to use aviation snips to do some trimming.

These three slivers were embedded in the anti-drum layer in the rear foot well.
I found them because one punctured a finger while I was removing the upper felt.
The ends were pointing up out of the bitumen just like razor blades.
