I've had my 1980 Beta Spyder for about 5 months now and I'm gradually sorting out the things that need attention. The brakes were awful when I got the car so I replaced the compensator vale which was leaking slightly but that didn't make much difference. I've now narrowed the problem down to the servo and that's where I'm stuck. I've managed to get hold of a used one which needs rebuilding so does anyone know a specialist anywhere in the country who will restore these things. I live in Stratford upon Avon but I would travel the length and breadth of the country to get this sorted. Alternatively is there a repair kit available for the servo and does anyone supply them? I've tried the obvious places such as Ricambio and Omicron but without success. One further thought which has just occurred to me - is there a Fiat which uses a servo which might be easier to get hold of? Any ideas very gratefully received.

I'm looking at the servo right now, it's got a bit of corrosion on the bottom of it and I'd like to refurbish it. I don't know if it's serviceable yet (must read the books) but has anyone ever disassembled one? Ideally I'd want to get the body replated rather than paint it after de-rusting the pits that are on it. Somehow I thought I had a spare one lying about but it's hiding right now...
