Weber 34 DATR 2/250 FLOAT level SETTING

Hi guys.
I have searched the forum for historic reference to my query but cannot find an answer and hope I haven't missed it.
My question is what is the float level measurement from the gasket to the top of the float?

Referencing weber data sheets, my understanding is that it should be between 6.75 and 7.25mm so I guess aim for 7mm ideally.
Is that your concensus understanding?

I had an overhaul kit that had some float levels defined, and although the 34 DATR 2/250 is not specifically mentioned, the closest models show 7mm... . However to make sure we are using the same measurement, this is what I have:

I posted some pics in the above thread a little while ago.  Just aim to get upper faces of both float halves as uniformly parallel to cover surface as possible and this will be pretty damn close to 7mm to gasket or perhaps a smidge more without taking thickness of gasket into account

Also for general information, Weber UK and Classic Carbs have both confirmed it is 7mm.

Yes, I confirm 7 mm with gasket on
In my case, I needed to check the Z value as well (total "displacement" of the float).
This had a huge impact in my case.
This should be 43 mm (ie 50 mm from the gasket until the bottom of the float when "full down").
This specific doc ( https://www.plandegraissage.org/fr/index.php?controller=attachment&id_attachment=12097 )mentions 50 mm (ie 57 from the gasket) for /151-251 variants, no idea why.
Lancia states 43 mm as well.

Worth a look.

PS : Just noticed that the "quota Y" in the previous doc (14 mm) is an alternative way to do my "Z" setting

I have it set to 7mm (actually 7.1mm) now and it's starting and running better now 😊
