Hi everyone,

A long shot, but does anyone have a diagram or photo that they can share of how the inside of the side mirror ( above ) is held together.
It's the HINGE PART underneath the rubber shroud ..how it bolts together that I'm interested in, the washers etc.. not the mirror adjustment.

It's a late model vitaloni horizontal mirror. ( I guess the 'tall mirror' hinge works the same. ) A search online has come up empty-handed.

My drivers-side mirror has had an odd-sized bolt fitted by the garage who last serviced the car ( "there you go ..as good as new"  Wink
I could disassemble my passenger side mirror but don't feel too keen on testing the elasticity of 40 year old rubber unless I really have to.

Thanks if you find anything Smiley

Andrew.

Hi Andrew.

It's a simple swivel, including 3 notches locating into 3 dimples,
and a stiff spring, held together with a 8mm countersunk screw.

Pics for ref. Hope this helps.

Trivia: this was fatally damaged outside Ellis Park on the evening that SA won the Rugby World Cup 1995!
          What rubbish we keep.

Andrew, I should add that this is a vertical mirror
with the name ARCA on the black outside triangle plate.
