April 26th
Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival

The local sections of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and the Ducati Desmo Owners Club, together with Bristol City Council, will again host the annual Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival from 11am. to 4pm. on Saturday 26th April 2008. Following the same successful format as previous years, the event will bring some of Italy’s most desirable and charismatic cars and bikes into the heart of the Old City. The streets will be closed to traffic, creating a pedestrian friendly zone where the cars and bikes, parked ‘Italian style,’ may be safely viewed. The event's display streets also feature some great restaurants, pubs, cafes and the Saturday market stalls. This is going to be a show not to be missed! Admission is free of charge both to entrants and spectators.

Fiat will be the Featured Marque of the 2008 Festival with the a celebration of the 500 model at the centre of the show! We will mark the 51st anniversary of the 500 with a range of examples to span the years including some of the brand new Nuova 500 models. We will also feature a wide range of other charismatic Fiats of all ages to set the streets alive with Italian chic and design flair. Why not make a note in your diary to 'come on down' and take part in the best free Italian vehicle festival in the country? For news updates see: www.aroc-uk.com/gloucesterandsouth/

Entry will be by permit only. Space will be limited and entries are bound to be oversubscribed so don't delay! To reserve your place please send your name, address, phone & mobile numbers and vehicle details (marque, model, year) to:

biamf@ourhemanpal.co.uk or telephone 0117 947 5814.

The Alfa Romeo Owners Club are organising an event on Sunday 18 May 2008 at Westbridge Park, Stone (Nr Stoke-On-Trent) Staffordshire, featuring Italian Cars, Italian Market and Italian Music. All marques of Italian Cars are invited, and it's to celebrate Stone's twinning with Bagnacavallo in Italy. Friday 6th to Sunday 8th June 2008
The 2nd Giro di Salopia

the format is but roughly:
Friday:
PM Arrive in Shropshire, check in to hotel, then dinner at our house (The Cucina Torinese re-opens!)

Saturday:
AM The main driving event, around beautiful Shropshire, shorter in length, faster roads and better planned (by Chris Owen, hopefully)!
PM Arrive back at a venue (TBC) for prizes and display cars.  Meet for dinner later that day.

Sunday:
AM Probably visit a venue like RAF Museum at Cosford.
PM Drive to 2nd venue (like Enginuity) to park up and display the cars, competitions etc.

Considering who came this year, I'd like to celebrate the Integrale's 20th anniversary, so hope to see 20 Integrales of every hue. Maybe a Verde York or Giallo Fly example this time - can you have too much red in one day?
I've been in contact with the club that use Loton Park hillclimb circuit, which is near Shrewsbury, with the idea of incorporating a visit there into our weekend, possibly even involving a non-competitive run up the course.
I'm also considering inviting the local AROC group - any thoughts on this?
Any suggestions from anyone, about the venues, programme etc will be more than welcomed.

The website has been updated so please take a look at http://web.mac.com/girodisalopia/
