I have started work on my vx coupe restoration.
I need to remove the screens from the car.
Can we still get the windscreen rubber ?
I have an original lancia windscreen in the car but it is delaninating so it might be better to cut the rubber out rather than pushing it out as I want to keep the screen
Thanks in advance

Wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run to buy a new screen given it's condition? Pilkington seem to sell them for a reasonable price. Not sure about the availability of the seals...

There are suppliers in Italy for new seals by mail order something like ciognani

I got a full set for my Beta Spider.

It’s an original Lancia screen with a large lancia emblem in the top right hand corner
I would rather keep it

Really not difficult to take out and the rubber will protect it. With laminated glass you do run a risk of it breaking for no apparent reason after removal probably due to the reduction in tension and older stresses in the glass.

I had the same affection for my 'Lancia branded' rear door struts when I got my HPE but they were had it so had to go.

Make sure you order the correct one if you talk to Pilkingtons as the rubber seal version is different to the more common bonded in version of the windscreen.
