ok, whilst start motor off for refurb I'm tackling the main battery connections. I've added a picture from another car showing a battery with a 2nd connector. I'd like to get these on the Beta as I have a trickle charge cable connected and it's a far tidier job with the additional bolt.

So, any recommendations on who can make up some battery cables to/from starter, body, engine and alternator?

I'd have thought that was well within the scope of a local auto electrician. They'd probably have all the bits and would make it to fit exactly how you want it.

Pole Volt or Vehicle Wiring Products. I make my own Battery leads these days with modern multi-core wire and crimp terminals. The hammer crimp block is good enough, but I use a Hex pattern crimp tool.
