The interior of my 2nd series F/L coupe is pretty good apart from general signs of wear on drivers (R/H) seat pad.

Whilst the L/H v R/H front seats are physically different are the upholstered parts i.e. seat pads and backs interchangeable?   In other words if I find a matching material L/H front seat can I easily swap the material pads to replace those on a R/H seat frame?

Hi capri,
From what i've seen on both 1980 and 84 HPE's, you should be fine with that.

As far as I can tell, only the tilt/release mechanism and the fore/aft runners are handed.

And, generally, a L/H seat is likely to have less wear, but looks like you thought of that already.

Regards, Nigel

Thanks Nigel,

Yes just wanting to put the upholstered base and maybe back from a L/H passenger frame onto R/H driver side frame.  Should be doable I think.

Thanks,

Andrew
