Four stroke guerilla

« on: January 06, 2021, 08:12:21 AM »

Hi all,

My name is Jean-Claude and I live in the North part of Belgium.
I recently bought a 1978 Montecarlo.
The bodywork looks in a not to bad shape, which means I didn't look deep enough Smiley
I hope there will not be too much work on the shell because that is not my cup of tea - I definitely prefer the mechanical work.
The previous owner just drove the car to my place when he delivered it. I guess it's not too bad then.
Compression values are OK and at the moment I'm expecting new clutch slave cylinder and flexible hose. These didn't pass my quality test  Grin
Apart from that, the cooling pipes and electric wiring have a rather high Mama Miracoli level.
Some works will need to be done to have it reliable.

I'll try to figure out how to post a picture...

A beautiful car and I love the wheels. My Montecarlo is resting for the winter. Roll on Spring.

Eric,
The central covers were not fitted when this picture was taken.
The car came with a set of wheels which are supposed to be the original ones.

I'll post some more pictures soon but I'll do this in a new topic in the Members Cars section.
And I'll post about work in progress there.
Currently my goal is to have the car on the road half or end of February  Roll Eyes
