Hi All I am sort of addicted to YouTube especially after the recent lockdown, so thought I would start a thread for my favourite car based ones with a brief what and why. M539 restorations - German guy who takes unloved BMWs and brings back to life, good humour, very knowledgeable on BMs, really well produced videos and nothing more than you or me could do given the time and money. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwi79KvQkKfsAhX2TxUIHWIEBhAQFjAAegQIBRAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fchannel%2FUCLLpxcworT8275nBXODXyqw&usg=AOvVaw1R3ObyKMdqdahmRcALVHaNBad Obsession Motorsport - probably does not need much introduction but they have three projects now, Binky, Escargot and the race Citroen C1. Again really great mix of humour and well produced videos, skill level well beyond me and most others! https://badobsessionmotorsport.co.uk/Retropowercars - most famous probably for the Mk1 escort they did for Gordon Murray, there is a series of videos on it, but have started a weekly uncut series of videos on current projects and their status. Leaves you wishing you had the money to commission them to restore a car for you... https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjvq73ykqfsAhUbaRUIHb5fBFoQFjAAegQIAxAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fchannel%2FUCSkFu24_mcdSGwkGh_Gk03A&usg=AOvVaw2bp9WgJsBniKljaBwOoLWKThose are my starter for 10, please add to the thread if you have any recommendations. Peter

Great idea Peter. Same as you, also addicted!
My subs are, in no order: My favourites:
Building Tally Ho, a wooden boat, by Leo Sampson...binged from the beginning during furlough! Car Wizard.....mechanical reviews and talk, no spanners, one of the more honest. Binky and the other two projects VinWiki.....some really great car stories Jonny Smith....... now called The Late Brake Show...car reviews. Jim Browning.....an IT expert on scammers, best of the bunch. Tavarish..... salvage rebuilder....he's doing a Mclaren right now. He's a bit loud, but quite engaging. Cruising the Cut.....cruising and living on a narrowboat, very well narrated and produced. Big Car......car stories Number 27.......a likeable Brit who spanners on an old 308 amongst others. Arthur Tussik.....a body repairer, old school leading features a lot. No speech, just ok music. Diagnose Dan......Dutch chap speaking English, shows extreme logic on finding mostly, electrical faults. Detailed. DriveTribe.......a mix, apparently owned by Clarkson, Hammond and May.
And occasionally: Hoovies Garage...mad yank Jay Leno...... Samcrac......nutty yank AutomatricsMTrack.....searching for stolen stuff, not posted for a while.
I'll stop there in case it gets embarrassing.....

For me:- Itchy Boots - https://www.itchyboots.com/- engaging Dutch girl travelling the world solo on a motorbike- not 'biker' biased at all and beautifully shot. Presently in Scandinavia having been booted out of Peru in Coronavirus scare. Makes Ewan McGregor/Charlie Boorman look like the posh softies they are with their support teams. Hub Nut- I am sure I am not alone on this one- Brummie collector and reviewer of unloved cars- I like to watch him spannering as it makes me look quite competent!. Have thought about letting him loose in the Lime, but then thought better of it. Bad Obsession Motorsport- although I am well behind. The Doghouse- Midlander tinkering with bikes in a shed. A bit custom for my tastes. Michael Waller- Geordie tinkering with bikes in a shed- big shed. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqKbu57J6dkIEj99BE2TypwRandom one for old hippies:- Dave Simpson- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpyWtQGrqTM- Lincolnshire-based guitar-obsessed 'unusual' chap, very open about his demons but a hell of a guitar player. Enjoy Mark

Hi All Not sure how I cam across these guys, but definitely will not be taking the Beta anywhere near this area. Been interesting watching the builds for these sand/rock crawling cars, amazing where they can be made to go. I don't know why I have a TV licence these days as You Tube is my 99.9% watch time.
Peter, those two you mentioned have been on my sub list for a while. Matt has a likable persona, and his cohorts are great too, especially Lizzie!
Another I found is Steve Lehto, a Michigan lawyer and car nut, who talks about the more interesting legal-type news stories from around the world, but mostly US, 2 per day. Some of his subject matter persuades me not to bother visiting the US, let alone live there. Amusing, factual, engaging.
Being familiar with the area, I really enjoyed Itchy Boots tour of Southern Africa.

At the risk of blowing my own horn - if you like an Alfa too, you might want to check out my channel: https://m.youtube.com/c/TheAlfaNutI’ve featured some great classics and also some newer cars such as the 8C but shortly to add a vid about my Lancia! Hope you enjoy.

I subscribed to GrandThriftAuto a while back after enjoying his review of Gerhards Beta. Now, after watching a couple more, I thoroughly recommend. In this latest, he's discussing the AR Princess, and gives a lovely nod to those Aussies who habitually stuck 'huge' engines into otherwise mundane 70's cars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmLhkp_53ok
