Do we know the BBQ location? I'm trying to work out whether to drive home or enjoy a drink or two and hotel.

Hi all
The BBQ is to be held at James and Lorenzo’s in St Neot’s around the corner from the start.
Everyone is welcome and the local Premier Inn’s and camping sites are lovely. 😁 xx

Any recommendations for camp sites? I can only find a Caravan Club site in St. Neots itself,,,,

Waterclose Meadows in Huntingdon looks the best bet?

Hi all, hope everyone is well?

@Neil-yaj396 the St Neots Campsite is very good, and just about walking distance from the BBQ location. It's where I would recommend.

As an update, our lunch location will be:

The Polhill Arms
25 Wilden Rd
Renhold
Bedford
MK41 0JP

Menus etc here: https://www.polhillarms.co.uk/
We can all order our own food from the menu on the day, no need to pre order.

Please let me know if you require any more information on any aspect of the day
Looking forward to seeing you all
Thanks
James

Which one?

The Colmworth Park one has it's restaurant out of action so probably no fry up in the morning.
The other one A1/ Wyboston is very slightly further away but you get your greasy spoon requirements satisfied.

I would still like to come along, but  have some family health commitments at present that are taking a lot of time.

I hope that I can leave things flexible- please don’t worry about catering, I will arrive with own comestibles if I can make it!

Hope to see you all soon.

Oops slightly late here! I shall be coming and will want the BBQ but will not be staying over so will leave late-ish after enjoying the food. No Beta as usual, might make it in a beta in a few years time!

Hello all
So I have a total of 10 people who have confirmed they are attending via the event page here and 7-8 who are attending from here
As the official deadline for BBQ is now here, please can you let me know if you would still like to attend and have not already confirmed? Please also advise if you are bringing a +1 (or more)
I’m known for over catering so if you suddenly find that you can come last minute, you will be most welcome, but it would be good to know if you are sure you can make it
BBQ location is a private address so will be circulated on the day, but it’s 2 mins drive from the start point at the Ambiance Cafe
Any questions, you are welcome to call me on 07910 219 333 anytime
Thank you and looking forward to seeing you soon!!

Someone pointed out that it's a model aircraft show at shuttleworth and that it might make it inappropriate for us to visit ad-hoc, maybe someone could check it out?

Quote

,He said are you sure and asked had you made prior arrangements to go there, as there's some sort of model show on next week and you won't be able to just turn up and park as its a paid show.

Just what's been passed on to me, details might not be correct although there's definitely a model show on there.

There is a model air show Saturday & Sunday. This is what it says on the website; On large event days the Collection and the Swiss Garden may only be open to event ticket holders. Most large events are bookable online and tickets will be available on the gate unless otherwise stated. Please check the events page before visiting.

The event page says that the Collection can be visited for a further £3 on top of the event fee (£13) making it up to the standard £16. Does look like it would be worth booking in advance online for those who want to go?

Hi Folks

I will hopefully meet you at AutoSportivo at 10.30 and will not be staying for the BBQ so no need to worry about catering. It will be nice to see some complete Betas as my Beta Spyder very slowly get finally painted. I will be in the Montecarlo

Cheers

Chaps
It’s just over 3 hours for me in the mighty Panda from up North but I’m aiming for AutoSportivo at 1030; if I miss that, where are you meeting for lunch?
