Coupe '79 horn push removal

Hi all,

can someone please tell me why the screws from the back of the horn push wont come out? I m unscrewing and unscrewing and the screw doesnt come out.. I must be doing something wrong and I just can find what.

I would be greatful for any ideas.

I want to take the steering wheel off in order to change the multiswitch, lights, windscreen wiper etc.

The obvious answer would be that the plastic (?) threads have stripped? Have you tried pulling on the push while you turn the screws?
