Hi Darren

I've not heard about them before, but as they are only about an hour's drive away from our place in France (which is where the Spider lives) I feel compelled to take a drive over and have a look see next time we're over (probably in April 2019).

Your timescales are considerably more advanced than mine - you're thinking in months, I'm thinking in years...  Cheesy

I'll keep you posted on what they're like. The ad doesn't look dodgy to me - price is realistic and the stilted English is due to Ebay's translation from the original French, I think.

Hi

Although not the guy I bought mine off in the US, here is an alternative.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lancia-Beta-Zagato-1979-1980-1981-1982-Convertible-Soft-Top-Black-Stayfast-cloth/251074037375

Not a vinyl, but more modern canvas type.

I bought a couple of tops a few years ago, but the original seller's website is now gone, the guy was Ed Patrick.

I think someone else posted this link not long ago. One of the options looks to be the same as Peter's:

My general rule with shipments from outside the U.K. And which have import tax/VAT is never pay the Ebay fees. Many reports of folk being charged again when the goods arrive. Contact the seller and organise your own courier using brokers such as  Transglobalexpress.co.uk. They will quote for various companies e.g. DHL and DHL will charge you the import tax (usually just VAT, but depends on th goods) based on the invoice value of the goods plus an admin fee of around £10.
