Hi
I came across this forum while looking for information on the car above.
I'm a locksmith in Essex and I was recently ask to make keys for a garaged Beta.
The car has been locked away for at least 25 years. All keys lost.
Looks like it was put away following a rear end shunt (boot is slightly bowed and rear number plate is missing).
I'd love to buy the car but it has high sentimental value to the new owner.
I've pointed out the cost and pitfalls involved in getting this car up and running.
Now waiting on her decision.
Looking forward to sharing info on here if I get the car.
I've spent a few years in the past making a living restoring old e-types here and in the states.

Have you managed to acquire the car? At least we now know a locksmith who can make Beta keys...  Cheesy

Not yet but hopeful.
The mrs is OK with it. My last project was a 1955 F100.
After being in my workshop for 2 years, it ended up (unfinished) in my front garden front garden for about 8 years.
When we moved 14 years ago, I had strict instructions from "she that must be obeyed", that the truck wasn't coming with us.

I never did get this car.
After a year of texting and calling the owner, I gave up.
A Fella came into the shop yesterday. Brought in the door and ignition locks for a Beta.
I made a couple of keys for ignition and (dimple) doors.
I thought this has got to be the same car.
Alas it wasn't so its still out there somewhere.
