I've recently bought two new badges for my spyder. They're the two boot badges 'Lancia B ' and '2000'

The Lancia one has got a polished almost chrome finish thet other one is satin. Question is which is correct ?

I remember the die cast badges (sometimes plastic) being a satin finish - almost an anodized look silver finish and the recesses filled in with black paint.
Never seen a polished chrome look one before.

Boot lid i bought the other day is fitted with the satin finish efforts.
When you say "new" you don't mean out of a Lancia parts packet?

If they are both genuine Lancia badges then here goes....

Series one saloons would have the polished ( higher quality ) badges, and as far as I am aware, coupe's spyders & HPE's always had the brushed effect.

Saloons always had badges with the black recessed and the lettering proud, and certainly S2 FL Coupe's and Spyders had flat badges (brushed effect) with the black to the same level as the lettering. (Thus making them easier to clean)

Thanks,

The good news is their both recessed types so one of them at least suits my car !

Anyone need a new 'Lancia' badge for an S1 Berlina ??
