Hi, just thought I would post a couple of pictures of my Dads Lancia dealership from the late 1970's inspired by seeing James Costello's 1300 Sedan supplied new from Golf Garage. I have great memories of being at the garage with my Dad, in the early days we had to collect our new stock from the nearest Lancia distributor which was a large Fiat/Lancia franchise in Aylsham Road Norwich called Pointer Motor Company, they had a vast showroom which actually had mock vintage cars with tables/chairs in which you could sit in & have lunch. On returning from Norwich in the 2000HF one day on trade plates I managed to break the electric window on the 45 mile trip back, electric windows were new to me so I had to use them, Dad wasn't too chuffed! The 2000HF photo is my Dad with the then current Miss Anglia for a promotion for the Evening Star news paper, the coupe was superb, Dad struggled to sell it, due to its high retail price (£3200) so decided to put it on the road as a demonstrator, it was registered GBJ 1N finished in silver with chianti coloured interior, once on the road he managed to sell two new ones, from members of the local golf club. Hope you like them, Ian Markin

Hi Thanks for sharing the pics. They're great! By the way can you make out the registration of the HPE that's shown on the corner of the building. My car spent its early life in that neck of the woods.
Cheers John
ps. nice pic of Miss East Anglia too

Hi John, Thanks for your kind comments, unfortunately the photo is not too clear & I cant read the reg plate, which is a shame as its the same with the pair of rosso york s1 sedans in the picture, however I can see the HPE is finished in marrone parioli & recall it being a 1600 with mustard cloth. I really like the look of your nero HPE it must be pretty unique in this country now, does it still have the pvc pillows on the base of the rear seats? Glad you liked Miss Anglia, I know the HF is not a beta, but I think you will agree a stunning car. Ian.

Hi Ian My HPE is actually Marrone Parioli too, with mustard cloth, but it's a 2000 on an S plate. Brown was clearly one of the colours to have back then! Yes mine has the pvc cushions in the back. The back seats of the car are really great, unfortunately the front ones need some refurbishment, but tracking down the cloth is very hard. I've tried to attach a photo. The HF looks lovely. All Lancias welcome on this forum Best wishes John

Great interior that John, sorry thought it looked black, yes the brown, maroon & lancia blue were very popular colours at the time, I still love the vivid 70's interior colours, those early HPE's & Coupe's like yours are still my favourites, nice memories John, still remember my Dad red lining Beta's up the road, certainly put a smile on my face being only 6/7 years old at the time. All the best Ian.
