Does anyone know when they switched the screen on the Spider from bonded type to rubber sealed and how I might tell the difference on a bare screen?

Hi Stuart

Did not realise there were any UK unbonded versions on Spider, I thought it came in after they had finished?

The difference will be in the p/n, but I had both next to each other and there is just a centimetre or so difference in the size, so I would measure them to make sure.

They definitely differ in height. As far as I know the bonded windscreen, at least in coupes and HPEs is ca 1cm higher than the rubber seal mounted (68,5cm)

Will try to check the microfiche when I have time, not convinced that lancia would have fitted the rubber seal type to spiders as the bonded screen will assist rigidity never actually tried it but I was under the impression that the screens are interchangeable in that you could fit a screen with rubber to a bonded screen car(??) anyone know for certain?

I can confirm they are different sizes and hence would not be able to fit the later one to a bonded screen.

I thought the aperture was the same and the sealing method dictated the difference in screen size as the rubber seal is thicker ??

My VX has a bonded screen from new.
