I am looking for a bit of advice if I may.

I fitted the lamps to my Coupe last year and all has been well, other than the MOT tester didn't like them much ( still passed it)

This made me think I may be at fault, but the only  thing I think I could have done wrong is put the wrong lamp in the wrong place/orientation.

I have the H4 unit( I don't think the bulbs are interchangeable- I may be wrong) on the outside and the inner unit (lens marked 'AUTOPAL) with the H1 as a main beam.

I attach a photo if that might help.

Any help appreciated.

I have e-mailed Mark W, but appreciate he is a busy chap.

Mark

The inner couple is always a main beam while the outer are dipped beams. H1 and H4 bulbs are not interchangeable as they have totally different fitting.

Sorry- I may not have made things clear.

Mine are wired to work correctly - dipped outside, main inner- I just wanted to know if I have the correct lens in the right position ,as this will influence ( I would think) the pattern thrown and the effectiveness of the 'dip'.

You have them positioned correctly, but you probably need to adjust them via the adjuster screws on the back, these determine the pitch and angle of the beams.
