I have a wiring diagram for my 1980 Coupe which shows a main 12 point earthing ring somewhere near the front bulkhead/steering rack ??   I need to find  (suspect poor earth for peculiar behaviour for certain gauges in instrument cluster).

Before I search aimlessly for this please can somebody give me a few pointers exactly where I should be looking.  Assume it is on engine bay side somewhere near steering rack?Huh??

Any help appreciated -

Thanks,

Andrew

IIRC if you remove the main speedo binnacle it's behind that, bolted to the inside of the bulkhead.

Tou are correct Matt.
I know this for a fact as I've had the instrument binnacle out of my car more frequently than I've had the car out of the garage!

Thanks for the advice chaps -

I've also had the instrument binnacle off on numerous occasions in the past but couldn't recall seeing an earth point -  I'll have a look this evening,  no doubt I'll find it somewhere behind the spaghetti like wiring ......

Thanks again .........

I have also found them bolted to the steering support.
