hello.im from Nth Lincs and this is my 79 1600 coupe. ive been into mk2 cortina's for quite a while and was looking for a a 2dr mk2 cortina when i came across this. its a really nice solid car so i thought id give it a chance and i do like it.

Welcome Credders, nice looking coupe there.

How do find it compared to the Mk 2 Cortina.  (my dad has an original 67' 4 door Cortina)

What colour is the interior of your 1600?

i havent been far enough yet too really compere, but its nothing like! in my youth i had a fiat strada 105TC thought it mite be similar to drive, i just drove things a lot harder then. interior is pale blue good condition, has done 75k. this is my GT that i still have.

Your Cortina is same colour as my Dads 1500 - I think his has 40k on the clock and has never been touched, restoration wise.

They are worlds apart, but I still like riding around in his. I'll show him this link - he'll be well chuffed because he recently told me that there are only something like five of his car left on the road.

its saluki bronze. 1500s are rare ive got a basket case 1500GT crayford convertible.

im after some rear seatbelts for my beta so i can take the kids out, will my car have all the captive nuts and fittings in? ive only seen static belts advertised, is that what was fitted or can you get inertia belts?

I'm selling some on eBay at the moment, they never did inertia belts for the rear.

My Dads 1500 Super Deluxe

We were told theres only 5 left on the road.. Is that true do you know, so about as rare as some Beta Berlinas !

cortina looks very tidy, not sure how many left. i know theres not many 1500s. seatbelts not a priority at the mo, ive got rear belts in my cortina so if i need to take the family out i can use that, thanks anyway
