Hello everybody I have a 79 beta 2.0 engine which i thought came with a 32 DMTR webber but upon closer inspection i found out that it has a 34 DMTR webber? and I also heard that if it has a 34 DMTR carb then that means that they changed the intake into an 1800 intake manifold. is this true and how can i figure this out?

A 2.0 engine if fitted with a Weber would have a 34 DATR or 34 DMTR carb.  The main difference between the two being auto or manual choke.

32 DMTR carbs were fitted to 1600 cars.

I am not so sure about the 1800 intake manifold bit though.  1800's were early engines and by 1979 the 2.0 was well established into the production run so it sounds like the carb and manifold are correct for your car.  I will check to see what part numbers there are for the manifolds and what engines they are used on.

don't forget that this is a '79 North american market car all very weird and wonderful with lots of anti-smog stuff

a 79 model year US model (except california versions) would have originally had a weber 30/32dhta 1/279 from your previous posts that many vacuum tubes are blanked off and the fact you have a 34dmtr I would guess that a previous owner has removed some of the original anti-smog gear. '79 models seem to have a bad reputation over there so it's not surprising that it has been modified (of course it may be that it is a 78 model just not sold until 79???)

Ahhh yes... forgot that US models had anti-smog....... I'm blaming the cold and my age!!

Thank you I will post a pic today maybe it will be more help. and yes from the vacuum diagram i got from u it seems that all the emission vacuum line have been removed , thank u by the way.

I have a 34DATR but it also has a manual choke that is why i thought i had a 34DMTR. here are some pics.
