Hi All

Just a note to say that if anyone needs keys cutting for their car, I know of a place that can do it, and get as many blanks as needed.

Its here in London, and i'm happy to pass on the details, or it may be possible for me to get keys cut for you, with either the key or the number, and send to you

Either way, if you have any trouble getting keys cut, let me know!

Can you clarify that you are referring to the door / boot / glove box / petrol flap key rather than the ignition key?

Hi

Ive just come back from Advanced Locksmiths in Southampton (http://www.locksmiths-hampshire.com/)
Geoff mentioned them in an earlier discussion on replacement keys.

Mark had calibrated the Silca Digital cutter that morning and cut the door/boot key in no time at all and it works fine having just tested it... Quite a machine. They have plenty blanks left.  The ignition key blank is on order so he'll do that for me next week.

Sorry Matt - shoudl have been clearer

I had both the security key and the ignition key cut by John Richard Security Products.  All done by email and post - £5 each and cut from the key numbers (plus £1.50 postage)

The specialist cutting head/ machine is the important
bit, a lot of the key cutters use standard cutters and
the resulting key is acceptable but not perfect.

I've had several keys cut from the original but the never work on the boot. Do any of the locksmiths quoted cut good keys from the original?

Yes

I can confirm that the keys I had cut by John Richard Security Products work all of the locks as they should (so 1 does the ignition and the other door, boot, glovebox and petrol cap).

Quick update on keys:
I emailed John Richard Security on Monday night, with the door key number, which is on the rear of the glove box lock (4 digit no)
paid via bank transfer Tue night, £10 per key plus £3 postage, 2 door keys arrived today Thursday morning and work perfectly Smiley

Great service

I've got an Alfetta, the door key looks exactly like my Lancia Delta keys from the 80's. Will this person cut from a number?
Thanks.

Old post I know but I found a place quite a bit cheaper.

Just had 2 Silca SIP2 keys cut from the code on the old ignition key for £6.50 each. They were delivered free and next day. Also had 2 GT2 blanks sent that should fit doors etc. for £5.99 each
