Interesting eBay advert for S1 trim panels.

I thought all S1 / S2 pre F/L spiders had the brown/tan trim. Evidiently not. It's a spider panel as it doesn't have a hole at the top but it looks like some sort of tartan pattern.

Hi

Crappy picture, so hard to tell if the main panel is dark brown, as the ones I have seen, or black.

Looking at the centre trim, the two brightwork strips look pretty tatty and not original, so suspect a retrim.

Looks black to me, the brightwork may be original but it looks like it may have been removed then fixed back on?  Looking at my rear panels they have brightwork but the one in the picture seems to have fixings (what look like rivets), so would support the re-trim theory.  Europe did have some different interior colour schemes to UK...

Maybe Alan could confirm if thats original trim or not?

I don't know, series 2 FL cars in Germany had the L cloth like Gammas but other than that I think trims were similar across Europe, there is very little info about the early cars (or at least shall I say i don't have much) I'll check the parts books

S1 Part book lists just the one choice for the spider.

For the coupe (same part with one extra hole) it lists

Green
Red
Beige
Light Beige
Brown
Natural (natural what?)

Looks like it's a retrim then.

natural = natural leather i.e. in theory not coloured but of course it is to give consistency it's a sort of mid brown in lancia terms
