Gutted that I couldn't make it now, though I always suspected that my car wouldn't be ready. Only consolation is that the Coupe went off for it's welding to someone I can hopefully trust this time on Monday.

Seems like it was most 'festive', especially as I got a text from someone on the event last night which read, "Am bit drunkard. W went to bed to see Eurovision. Love you lots. xxx"

Superb weekend.
Food, drink company glorious sunshine and only minor burns. Thanks to everyone that set it up and those that came serious distances to attend.
Hopefully someone will have better pics than mine which have mainly turned out to have huge sun glares on them!

A truly magnificent weekend, superb weather, fantastic, friendly Beta fans/Lancisti, great setting and a superbly flexible itinerary.
Mandy (Dodgems) did a simply brilliant job of organising the whole weekend, and full credit to her - I know everyone appreciated your hard work.
There were some beautiful Betas with each model represented and I was beaming from ear to ear when I looked on as the big group photo was being taken. (Bronze Spider and Bangkok Yellow Berlina were my favourites)
Well done everyone who came along, especially Claude & Catherine who came all the way from Paris,
Nous espérons avait un voyage sûr à Paris

I had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Great to put even more faces to names from the Forum.
Thanks for organising Dodgems. Love the photos Tony and Theo.
Had a good drive back topped off by spectacular sunset over the Dartford Bridge.. Worth the £1.50 toll fee.!

Fabulous weekend, big thank you to all involved with organising things, especially Mandy of course.
Great to see a few familiar faces but also to meet many new ones. As newbie forum members Libby and I were made to feel really welcome so thanks also to everyone for that.
En route home, we stopped for a picnic lunch and watched the Jubilee Air Show at Duxford from a few fields away (cheapskates), Battle of Britain memorial flight at a few hundred feet over your salad nicoise is a good way to round off the weekend. Anyone else there too?
Looking forward to the next event !
Martin Dowling.

This one Andy borrowed the camera and went round tables photographing guests, what he did not realize the camera was set on 6 frames per second I have 6 or 7 photos of each table all the same shot, it was like a strobe going off and loads off just carpet too

Mandy
Well Done thank you! Even the weather was amazing and Andy Collins let me park my "Fiat" with the proper Lancias. I enjoyed the driving so much I even went for a 6.30am run to buy a paper.
2 slight hitches on arriving home added a bizarre twist. After emptying the car I noticed a lot of oil from a sender which must have unscrewed about a mile from home after hundreds of trouble free miles. But that was topped by the explosion as my space saver spare wheel blew up!!!! Clearly the heat was just too much for it, but why it waited until the car was back on the drive I have no idea.
A top weekend and great to meet many new faces including Claude all the way from Paris.
Cheers
Eric and Laura (not Lorna just for the record)

Oh cripes - now you tell me - so sorry Laura Sorry to hear about the spare, hope there is no damage to the car itself. Many thanks to everyone for your comments I really appreciate it. Several people asked me if this was the only weekend event until the 50th and would we consider organising one on a bi-annual basis. Any thoughts on that? I'd be up for it! Thanks again and great piccies everyone. I didn't realise we had so many good photographers in the mix. Cheers Mandy (Also known as Amanda!)

Many thanks to Amanda from the Robinson household. Was nice to meet some new faces, and chat with some faces i've seen before but never had a chance to speak to. With this now being the 3rd Beta Meeta in a row, I don't see why an annual event may not be on the cards? With a bigger event/weekend for the 45th and 50th anniversaries perhaps? Such a good showing of well presented cars, it just shows how many are still out there in such nice condition
