Hi All

After being involved with lancia for 20years, and having owned and sold all of these series:  76, 77, 78, 82, 83 I got the bug again and bought another of my all time favorites. a White 83 beta coupe.  Its undergoing the mechanical make over and body cleanup as we speak. its in good order with only 177,000km will all original service books and receipts .

I have lots of friend's all with Beta coupes, so it should be quite a sight when we all finally get them finished and on road. Located Melbourne Australia

Welcome to the forum Angelom,

Externally your car certainly does not look like it is knocking on the door of being nearly 30 years old, has the car been in regular use or has it been stored for a while and recommissioned for the road?

I love the way you say it only has 177,000km (100,000 miles) - what mileage do you guys consider as the threshold before you say it has "high mileage"?

There are quite a number of Beta owners from Australia on here, not sure whether you know them already through Aus. based clubs but I'm sure regardless of where people are located theres plenty of help and advice to be had.

We look forward to seeing more updates on your Coupe.

Hi Again

After an extensive search for many missing parts, I have finally progressed to the next stage.
Exterior is now complete. she needed alot of attention to bring up all the worn item to new again.  Not to mention a few small VX touches. It was all worth it. Next stage is the interior, restitch and wash all the seats and redo the door cards.

Dear Angelo,
just seen your photo's. The Coupe looks great, and white is currently very fashionable! I will send you some shots of "LuLu" when she comes back from the surgeon, (sorry - car body specialist). She is having 90% of the rust removed by substituting a good tailgate suitably resprayed and rebuilt etc, and having the front windscreen out, scuttle cut out and replaced with good metal then resprayed locally. Also she has just today received her re-enamelled Cromodora 8 Spokes with new tyres, new centre caps and re-chromed bolts. They look fabulous!
By mid next month she will be 98% ready for the "The Big 40 celebrations in Norfolk".
Looking forward to it already,
Best,
Chas.

I love the monochromatic look - very retro.
