Has anyone successfully disassembled a Beta Coupe gauge cluster?  The rheostat that controld the instrument light dimmer died on mine today.  Trying to evaluate repair options.

Thanks

Dan

Check your fuses first before you condemn it!
Rheostat is actually on the back of the instrument cluster, not in side it - attached to the circuit board on the back with a few screws.
When you say "successfully disassembled a Beta Coupe gauge cluster?" do you mean remove it from the dashboard, or actually strip the item down?
It can be bypassed so it is set to bright all the time - if you are not a purist and everything must work 100% as per factory.
Let me know if its an early (brown) or late (clear/black) instrument cluster and i can supply you with a replacement if you want.
Or if you are a skinflint like i am instruct you on a quick bodge no body will notice.
