Yeah I know it's a car forum, specifically Beta, but as I'm a Gamma
driver it's already being abused so:

I need a bit of help, if it hasn't got a carb I'm pretty well stuffed.
My laptop running vista (yep I know I should have XP) has misbehaved,
my screen, there are three logins: me, my sister and admin, appears
stretched/bloated and I've no Idea why, I've tried changing settings
I've tried restoring to a previous date and it's still the same

Please help an old drunk or send donations I don't care which.  Grin

Geoff,

Don't know if this still applies to Vista - but its valid for XP

Try rebooting it and hitting F8 repeatedly until it presents a menu - on the options on that menu it should have Safe Mode and also "Use Last Known Good Configuration"  Take the second option and it should use the previous config from the previous good boot up.

Alternatively, it sounds like the display settings are set to a lower resolution - so try raising that up.... not sure how thats done on Vista as I've never used it ... for a reason!

Let us know how you get on
