Does anyone know the correct part number for a series 2/3 RHD stalk control switch assembly for lights and wipers?
I have a part number 82342054 which I am not sure is for the RHD or LHD version. Hopefully it refers to RHD but it would be good to get confirmation.
I am not that keen about trying to fit the LHD version to a RHD car although I have read on here that it can be done with some modding.

Thanks for the link Peter.
I had a look and found the stalk switch assembly on p234. There are two part numbers quoted, without any reference to LHD or RHD although the background drawing shows a LHD coupe.
82342054 01/03 82347468 02/04
So I am none the wiser as to whether 82342054 is a LHD or RHD stalk switch assembly.

Andrew, Google shows more than once that # 82342054 is a LHD unit. They are generally available new, but I haven't seen new RHD switches advertised at all.
The other # shows as RHD by Lancia SA. He may have used ones.
If you are reluctant to make little brackets, as I did, obtaining a LHD column would allow a normal fitment.
Best, Nigel

If the column stalks are for a RHD car then the indicator switch will be on the right side and vice versa. That's so they're on the opposite side of the steering wheel to the gear lever so that you can indicate and change gear at the same time. I don't think any manufacturer does that for RHD markets anymore. Column shrouds are also specific to RHD cars.
I'm fitting a set of LHD stalks and shroud on my restoration, just to keep the levers on the same side as the Alfa, Panda and Stratos rep!

Ok thank you gents for the prompt and helpful replies.
Seller in Australia has also now confirmed that #82342054 is a LHD switch assembly which tallies with your assessments. The strange thing is this is part of his collection of ex Australian Fiat/Lancia dealer NOS parts, which makes you wonder why would an Australian Lancia dealer have a new LHD stalk switch assembly in their parts stock? Unless perhaps later series 3 RHD Betas were imported with LHD stalk switches and steering columns/shrouds due to a lack of or phasing out of RHD switch parts by Lancia?
Guy, your clarification about RHD cars traditionally having indicator stalk on RHS to facilitate left hand gear change tallies with my understanding.
Thanks also to clarification from Nigel and Rosscorsa that the 82347468 part is the RHD version one. (02 for Coupe and 04 for HPE). I`ll keep an eye out for that part number in case a NOS RHD one miraculously surfaces!
I have contacted forum member Chris (VXMan) who has advertised some parts for sale including several stalk switch assemblies, which he is going to do a bit of a service on, (check all switch functionality by resistance measurement, clean spade terminals and contact surfaces, smear with dielectric grease and "check, clean and grease the indicator self cancelling bits"). So I might get a used switch from him that is at least guaranteed to be working OK. The original indicator stalk switch on the Beta coupe still works but feels very fragile and worn.
I will follow up the with Lancia SA suggestion, although I have never bought anything from them and find their website a nightmare to navigate! Felix Furtak seems like a nice guy but previous enquiries about replacement Beta Coupe upholstery cloth went around in circles and eventually fizzled out because he was too busy with expansion building work, understaffed and could not find the parts in the warehouse to check colour, type etc. All very frustrating from my perspective!
Cheers, Andrew

Just a general comment but be careful when quoting series numbers for parts as there is much confusion about this, the final series I would call S2FL2 (series two second facelift) or series 4 but others call series 3. It causes a muddle when looking for parts.

Just to pick up on a detail here in that I don't quite understand why the Coupe and HPE would have different detail. Surely they are the same part? There's no additional or lesser feature between the two, or so I thought.
I agree with you Andrew that as Felix's website is based on part numbers without many useful photos, it is indeed difficult to navigate!
Best, Nigel
