Finally getting back to working on the Beta, after a few other projects over the years. I'm having to do some necessary structural welding to arches and sills now and seems like the right time to fit the fibreglass doors as the original doors are now shot and the bodywork needs a touch up here and there before I get the car back on the road.
See below, the doors are made up of an inner and outer skin but no internal structure for mounting as the original are. I've had to modify the frame to fit the HPE as these were for a coupe.
After some suggestions, for the best way to mount them
My initial thought is that I will need to take a grinder to the originals and bolt/fibreglass in the structure so I can utilize the original door hinges. They don't particularly weigh a lot and the only added weight will be the locking mechanism and some poly windows so hopefully not too much weight/strain. Not sure if there are alternative hinges I could use..
