Roll cage

Just putting it out there, how different are the coupe and hpe internally
I have a b pillar hoop already made for a roll cage, but I could be saving myself a lot of time and possibly money, if this.. http://ybfilters.co.uk/sasquatch/page1.php?sitepage=4&area4=&subarea=248&part=17374 would fit straight in. It states "connecting sleeve tubes and door bars that need to be cut to measure and to be welded upon installation." which may suggest that the tubes connecting from the b pillar to the rear strut towers may be a cut to measure job and the extra length would be enough to reach the hpe strut towers.
Worse case scenario i'd have to buy two bits of straight tube? Opinions

looking at the cage, you may need longer slip tubes to connect both
sections but that should be quite a simple job.

Personally when it comes to safety I want a fully welded option that goes as far forward as possible and has as much side intrusion protection as possible. Especially pertinent if you are track racing.

I've attached three pictures of a cage I've had extended in my coupe, point to note is how the fitter has put the cage in past the screw fixings on the outside of the dash as far forward as possible with the base-plate welded on the front bulkhead.

I don't see how an off the shelf item like this can be made to fit so well - but that's my opinion. When it comes to safety how much is it worth?

Yeh I spotted that, I'm torn between spending the money on buying it then probably having to modify it and weld it in or getting a custom job done to my spec. I've proposed a price to a chap that previously quoted me on fitting a cage, so hopefully he'll accept and make my mind up for me; i've seen his work and it's good.
With regard to safety i'm completely with you regarding the welded in option; however i'm not planning on crashing it, but the structural stiffness is surely greater than 20kg of scaffolding held in by bolts.

Is there any chance of you posting up as many pics of your cage as possible? Once I get the MOT sorted it's full steam ahead with the cage for mine I've got all my cage now, just needs measuring up, cutting and fitting. (Guna take a while) If I get one section in at a time i'll be happy but the motivation of seeing one fitted will help.
The b pillar is going to be fitted the same as yours but the a pillar section is going to be fitted on foot plates welded to the sill/floor pan so that it doesn't foul the dash and I don't have to go cutting, while being forward enough not to foul the inner door handle. In the rear i'm going to weld a solid tube in between the rear turrets; but haven't decided on where i'm going to fit the diagonal. Mostly interested in foot plates and diagonal fitment.

Does anyone have experience with bolt-in Roll cage from Sparco or OMP?
I would love to see a picture on how they fit.
