As far as I know, the spider/coupe rear inserts differ from the sedan/HPE/trevi items, but in what way?
I seem to remember they are shorter in the coupe/spider, but can anyone confirm this and do you know the dimensions (body length, rod length and diameter)?
There's a pair on ebay at the moment but the seller doesn't know which variant they're from and I'd like them for my spider if they're correct.

Discussed here at some length and includes all the part numbers for many individual aftermarket manufacturers I think.

That's what is listed in the auction.
It's amazing how difficult it actually is to get accurate information.
I checked another older, expired listing and they had the same part number described as suitable for all versions of 1.6 coupe, but not suitable for any others!

i still have a couple of days to try and figure it out. It's not the end of the world if I don't  but it would be nice to have four new shocks.

I finally muddled my way through the KYB website and I can now confirm that KYB 365040 is for..........................................

Spider and Coupe!!!

If I'm outbid now, I'll have to send the "boys" around Cool

What happens with me is that I leave bidding till the last minute and get sidetracked then forget about the auction altogether.

I'll have to look into that as I've never heard of it before and as I'm on a crappy wireless internet connection because there's no decent wired broadband in my little corner of the globe (globes have corners???), sometimes I'll lose connection at the crucial moment!

Well, that was a damp squib!
when i went to place my bid, I was not allowed by some condition or other imposed by the seller.
The item was listed on ebay Ireland so no idea what my transgression may have been.

That said, at least we know that KYB insert part no. 365040 is suitable for spider and coupe (but don't quote me on that)
