Well, I seem to anyway.
Just coming up to the fourth anniversary of getting my spider on the road, i discovered the EASY way to get it into reverse this morning.
I have been beating it in by slapping the lever sideways towards myself and hauling and coaxing it into gear by feathering the clutch until it slides in.
But wait, if I press DOWN on the lever whilst in neutral, it slides smoothly into reverse without any drama at all.
There's my father's Day present to myself and my long-suffering transmission.

I always thought it was women who didn't do that or if they did they always found a reason why the designers were wrong and they were right

It was always done with quiet dignity, especially in public as I just refused to give cause to anyone to comment about Lancia build quality
