Hi, can anyone confirm if there's a difference between plug leads for the Spider and the Coupe? I'm looking at a replacement set from Magnecor but have been told they don't have any for the Coupe but they do have Spider and VX versions. I'd have thought they were the same? It's for a 1981 2ltr.
Thanks

Sounds a bit confused to me, depends where the distributor is which varies upon the year of car not so much on which version. It's fairly easy to make up your own actually

I'm guessing the car is a 2000 i.e., with the distributor take off on the end of the exhaust cam? If so, that would probably be why they have Spider sets (block-mounted distributor) but not for Coupe.

I think they're a bit confused tbh, it's for a 1981 Coupe but the picture they subsequently supplied was clearly an i.e. setup.

It's an anomaly of the UK market elsewhere the ie was on sale in 81. I think the odds are pretty good that your car was built 2 to 3 years earlier

So your Coupe is a carburetted engine with block-mounted distributor? If so I'd be pretty confident in ordering a 'Spider' set of HT leads.
