Hi everyone, I have removed my fuel tank from my carb 1978 coupe and found the dreaded rust inside. I have another tank that came with the car. I believe this tank is a fuel injection tank. It has a swirl pot inside and larger pipes outlet and inlet. My old tank had the pipes on the float. I can get around the different size bore pipes but will this tank fit and run in my car. I have enclosed pictures of both tanks the silver topped one is the carb tank.  Many thanks Ben

It will fit.

You should be able to blank off the large feed & return pipes and drop in the float assembly from your old tank or modify the feed pipework to use the outlets in palce. The vent pipes on the left should be connected as before.

Thanks. I was more worried that the mechanical pump wouldn't be able to draw from the tank for some reason. I'm happy now.
