Those S3 berlinas are a funny thing hardly any imported and all 1600s I remember our local dealer having several of them but don't remember what year it was ( I suspect 1982) they were going cheap on a special deal, before that I don't ever remember seeing one. I rather suspect the possibility that they weren't originally built for the UK and got diverted at a later stage to get rid of them?
Andy Batchelor told me he understood there were approx 50 in total, nationwide. Was this from a rumour or is there some way of getting a conclusive answer?
So were did they come from? If there was just around fifty, how did the pair (one cream one silver) of LHD examples appear for sale at an Essex Lancia agent, plated 1983/A-reg?
The saloons (Berlina's) were categorised as Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 (Trevi being a messed up Series 3, and there was even a minor facelift of the series 2).
My S3 saloon is even worse. Jan 83 registered. Confirmed by Fiat as April 80 build! Frightening, that someone bought a "brand new" Beta, that actually should have needed its first MOT !!
Andy, I've been meaning to hand you VINs to see where we are on the list...
