Hello boys. I have a small problem. I have found a small places with surface rust on the front, behind the front lights. I simply can't remove bouth front plastic headlight frames on my beta. I have pulled away the two upper screws, but the frame won't jump out. Do i have to take off the radiator grille too, or even the lights ... because i don't want to brake plastic headlight frames ...

Thanks for help ... Marko

Hi Marko

These can be difficult to remove (I have to loosen the screws for the bonnet to get mine off), but in theory you should be able to just remove the plastic surround before the lights. The radiator grill should not be necessary to need removing, but I guess you may need to remove the light bowls.

Hello Peter. Thanks for your tip ... maybe would just loosing the screws of the headlamps do the job, so the lamp could be moved verticaly a few mm. The problem is that there ain't enough space at the bottom to pull the frame out ...
Have a nice day ...

The Slovenian way of solving problems ... With a bit of improvisation I was able to create enough space to remove a small amount of rust at the end of the front fenders near the headlights. So far i've only used the rust remover, tomorrow is the time to apply the base coat...

Have a nice rest of the day ... Marko

Hi Marko

Looking at your lights, yes if you can loosen them to allow the plastic to raise up enough to remove it.

Best of luck
