Morning all, currently working on inlet manifold and spotted the union taking vacuum to carb has has an unexpectedly small opening. It's about 1mm in diameter, suggesting a deliberate "dampening effect" to smooth out changes in pressure, or it needs to be replaced / drilled out a bit wider.

As usual, real world advice much appreciated as all the parts diagrams / images I can find either relate to wrong manifold or don't show the opening

Hi John

This is normal and saves using a nozzle from a MIG to achieve damping of the pressure signal.
