I’ve bought a lancia spyder for restoration but I know it has had couple front wings put on.
The guy I’ve bought the car from says they must be different to the original spyder wings as the rubber strip that sits above the sills is too short.
Can anyone shed any light for us
Also how can I add a picture
Thx
Simon

Hi Simon

Not sure what you mean, maybe trying to fit standard coupe wings to Spyder?

To add photo, on the reply page at the bottom is ‘Additional Options’ which you click and then can ‘Choose a File’. Select the photo(s) you want and that should do it. Make sure the total size of the photos is less than 1.5Mb per reply.

The Spider and coupe wings differ in the rear lower section. On the spider there is a step to match the step in the sill.

Even when new this was done just by welding a panel into place on a standard cope wing.
NB There are two depths of step early (c10-11mm) and late (c7mm)

Thanks Stuart
Now I know
I will have a look now to try to work out why the plastic strip is too short

Post a pic and it should be obvious. The side rubbers do shrink a little over time though.

Nb you may need 10 posts before you can add pictures.
